European RIS Portal

The PLATINA consortium has launched an innovative website on River Information Services (RIS), the RIS portal. The website covers European developments in the field of RIS and hosts the websites of 4 European Expert Groups on RIS issues. Professional competencies for inland navigation

PLATINA has developed a strategy for a harmonised education and training system with certification criteria for inland navigation. A detailed definition of professional competencies on different levels of responsibility has been elaborated in close cooperation with sector representatives, river commissions and inland navigation schools.
